Say "Ed and Don's" to the island folks and you will probably be answered with a smile and a sigh as our customers fondly remember "twirling on a stool in the ice cream parlor at Ala Moana, touching the candy kitchen in Kaimuki, watching the ladies hand-dipping chocolate".
Established in 1955, Ed and Don's was named after founder Martha Maier's two sons: Edwin and Donald. The very first two retail shops opened in Moanalua and Kaimuki. By the 1960's and 70's, Ed and Don's had several parlors enriching the Islands, helping to establish the brand as the leader in gourmet, Hawaiian candies.
Our factory is still located on O'ahu with nearly 50 employees, whose dedicated hands create our beautiful confections the old Hawaiian way, handmade with lots of Aloha that you, your family and friends are sure to enjoy for many years to come.
